Windy Streets

I'm going to start by telling you a bit about where we live. I don't know if you have ever been to Sackville, New Brunswick but it's a little university town tucked into the south-eastern corner of the province. It's home to Radio Canada Internationals's shortwave transmitters, it was once the subject of a Stuart McLean piece,it has a train station and two traffic lights. In the fall it fills up with students and in the summer they all scatter to the wind. Built on top of Salt-marshes Sackville is a wet and windy town. It's hard not too imagine that that's where Peter got his name.

july 25th

On Friday, July 25th, 67BRIDGEPORT FALLS was happy to welcome Joel Carr and Nathan Richards to our house for a show.

Joel Carr is, as well as being our neighbour, a talented songwriter. His music comes from the soil.

(no title) - Joel Carr

The bands Nathan has been in (Horses, Come Clean, Gone Feral, I Was A Spy) tend towards louder more raucous music than he makes by himself. This is a Gillian Welch cover with Gill on drums

In the Beginning

We had our first show back in June. Our friends Pat Lepoidevin and Corey J. Isenor played some songs for us. We thought it only right that our first post be from our first show. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed being there.

Pat Lepoidevin - On My Way Out

On my way out - Pat LePoidevin
Pat Lepoidevin creates textured folk music. Mixing together his voice, guitar, bag pipes and various percussion with the help of his trusty looper peddle. He tells stories about his childhood and the places he's been. It's nice.

Corey Isenor - Burning Your Hands

Burning in your hands - Corey Isenor
Corey's country tinged songs evoke backstreet love tales of small town Nova Scotia. His percussive yet melodic acoustic guitar work accompany relatable lyrics and a vocal delivery that makes you feel like home.
